Kate Middleton Switches Into a Second Sarah Burton For Alexander McQueen Gown For the Evening Reception

For the royal wedding's evening reception dinner at Buckingham Palace, Kate Middleton slipped into another dress designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. This time, the princess chose a white satin gazar and strapless silhouette, embellished with silver diamante embroidery at the waist. To finish off the look, Kate wore a soft white angora bolero cardigan and left her hair down and wavy. We love it, tell us what you think!

I guess I'm the only one, but I actually don't like this dress. I LOVED her wedding dress. But something about this dress just seems really off. It's mainly the length of the skirt and how full it is in contrast with the bodice. She IS a tiny girl, and with a dress like this I think a straighter line would have been gorgeous, with maybe a shorter length. I just feel like she's TOO covered up. I know she has to be modest, but really I think this doesn't do much for her.

Very lovely. A beautiful bride. So fun to see all of the looks that day. I am so drawn to Miss Pippa's looks as well as that blue ensemble Tara I think her name was wore. I loved that dress, hat, everything!

This dress is so beautiful - as was the first dress - and as mentioned above I love how she's paired it with a cardigan. She's positively glowing - simply gorgeous!

I love the dress, loved her actual wedding dress even more though. As for the whole two wedding dresses, I don't like it (this goes for any wedding, not just a royal one). The first one was so beautiful, why would you want to take it off?

I'm in love with her wedding dress and it's no different with her reception dress, but something doesn't seem right with the bust seams. I love how she paired this with the angora cardigan. Again, elegant as ever.

i don't see why she went with mcqueen when neither dresses convey the mcqueen aesthetic at all. any designer could have done the dresses.

I like it, but something about the top of it makes it look like she stuffed her bra. As much as the dress cost, what gives with this?
