Yesterday in New York City, Kate Hudson was spotted walking around with a gal pal before getting into a taxi with her newly darkened hair. For as long as I can recall, Kate's always been a California blonde, however, for her new movie The Killer Inside Me she's had to dye her golden locks a medium brunette shade. I like the change and find that I'm warming up to her rich hair hue. How about you — do you prefer Kate as a brunette or a blonde?

I think she'll always be a blonde at heart! But I'm impressed with how good she look's brunette! Clearly she can easily pull off both!

3obviously blond. some blondes can pull off either, and some even look better a s brunettes (Mandy Moore, Leighton Meester); but some just have to be blond. and while in the pic w/ the glasses she looks fine, I'm just thinking of her with brown hair in Alex & Emma and how mousy she looked (I think this is the only time where I actually understand the term "mousy"). the good thing is, though, that she can pull off many different shades of blonde as well as different hair styles...

5Brunette... obviously she's not a real blonde and it's better on her hair to not bleach it. It looks healthy and she'll be less noticable. Which I think she needs... she's getting a rep as a serial dater.

7Kate looks a million times better as a blonde. She looks so average and unnoticeable as a brunette, darker hair makes her less pretty and she just drowns into the background. It won't be long until she goes back blonde, wait and see....
