Over in Paris this morning, celebrities like Twiggy, Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, Natalia Vodianova, Marianne Faithfull, Anna Wintour, Nancy Shevell, Sir Paul McCartney along with U2 lead singer Bono and his wife Ali attended the Stella McCartney Autumn/Winter 2013 Ready-to-Wear show. It looks like Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie got cosy in the city of love and the elder music set sat together and chatted. The clothing looks amazing in the photos as modeled by Cara Delevigne and Karli Kloss just to name a few wearing purples, blacks, whites and greys. Whilst Sir Paul and his bride arrived in the appropriate coloured tops, they both chose light coloured denim on the bottom. Hopefully Stella is as proud of the collection as we are excited, after all, she did get a standing ovation from this critical fashionable front row.
Jessica Alba and Drew Barrymore were joined by a host of other stylish celebrities last night when they celebrated the launch of Tommy Hilfiger's new West Coast flagship store in West Hollywood. Drew and Jessica both wore Tommy Hilfiger outfits as they worked the red carpet with the designer and his wife, Dee. Jessica's latest public appearance was much less dramatic than the one she made on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday when she took part in a celebrity kissing booth and revealed her recent health scare.
Other famous attendees included Katy Perry, Olivia Munn, and Julianne Hough. Julianne was back in LA after a busy few days of press for Safe Haven in NYC, and dropped by the event sans boyfriend Ryan Seacrest, who attended the Topshop/Topman store opening nearby. Despite two fashionable bashes taking place in the same city, there were many stars who managed to attend each. Julianne, Jennifer Lopez, Estelle, and Jessica Lowndes all squeezed both events into their schedules.
Jessica Alba and Amy Poehler share the screen in A.C.O.D., which premiered Wednesday night at the Sundance Film Festival. Adam Scott, who produced the film, and also plays Amy's love interest on Parks and Recreation, joined the leading ladies and the rest of the cast for the red carpet and afterparty. Jessica came to Utah straight from Paris Couture Week in France, but all that travel didn't slow her down. Jessica and her friends looked to be in great spirits as they celebrated at Silver on Main Street. Jessica also shared sweet photos of herself posing with the rest of the A.C.O.D. cast, including Amy and Adam.
It is pretty safe to say that a centre part with loose waves was the hairstyle of the year, however, it seems that another style is once again trendy. A deep side part has been spotted on three superstars in the past week alone. From Jessica Alba's comb-over after the Ferragamo party, to Amanda Seyfried's structured slit and smooth waves and Ellie Goulding's growing hair at the UK premiere of Les Miserables, these ladies wear their hair with flair. What do you think of a steep side part?
Earlier today, Jessica Alba was spotted on Regent Street shopping with her daughter Honor and a pal. They browsed stores until deciding to walk into Hamley's and treat the little style star to a special toy. Jessica looked as fashionable as ever in UK apropos garb walking around the High Street. Shop her burgundy military hat, boots, jacket and cross-body black leather bag that she paired with a sweet low-slung side plait here!
A whole host of lovely ladies stepped out in Culver City, CA, on Saturday for the first-ever Baby2Baby Gala held at the Book Bindery. The event honored the organization's board member and ambassador, Jessica Alba, who wore Valentino for the special night and was presented her award by Mindy Kaling. Jessica tweeted to Mindy, "Thank you so much for presenting my award last night, it was truly an honor and Cash Warren is still blushing!" Board member Nicole Richie attended in a gown by Lorena Sarbu while Modern Family's Julie Bowen wore Naeem Khan. Also on hand were Busy Philipps, Rachel Zoe, Ali Larter, and Rebecca Gayheart. A few of their men came along to show their support as well, with Rachel's husband, Rodger Berman, stepping out and Rebecca's man, Eric Dane, also making an appearance.
Last night's Self magazine Women Doing Good Awards brought out honorees Jessica Alba and Jenna Dewan, as well as a group of real-life winners. Kerry Washington was also among those being celebrated by the publication, but work on her new show, Scandal, kept her away from the bash at NYC's IAC Building. Jessica Alba hit the red carpet in a Valentino gown, while her husband, Cash Warren, and best pal Kelly Sawyer hung out beside the step and repeat. Jenna, who brought her mother as a date, wore Vivienne Westwood.
Jenna accepted an award for her work with animals at the LA shelter The Gentle Barn. She's also been busy chatting up her new movie, 10 Years, out tomorrow, which is her first big-screen project with husband Channing Tatum since they appeared in the dance-filled Step Up. The new film, though, doesn't show the couple busting a movie. She told us, "It's funny! We don't dance in the movie. We wanted to look for something that was a little bit of a different dynamic than our relationship is naturally. Otherwise, it would have been the same old, same old." Jenna and Channing just wrapped up a jet-setting Summer that included a visit with her friend Stacy Keibler and George Clooney at Lake Como. The highlight of the Summer, according to Jenna, was "All the traveling. We did a good bit of traveling. We were in Italy, we went to Germany — we were all over the place."
Jessica, who's on the current cover of Self, was feted for founding the eco-conscious Honest Company. She spoke about life with her husband, Cash, and their two daughters, Honor and Haven. On being a mother, Jessica says she loves "Every single day, I mean every moment, that I get to love them and cuddle them and be with them. To be able to watch them grow, I learn so much from them and just being a mom." She took the stage after a sweet introduction from Self's editor in chief, Lucy Danzinger, and shared a few inspiring words. Jessica congratulated the other winners, and closed with the line, "Without all of us doing a little bit of something, nothing's gonna change."
Paris Fashion Week kicked off yesterday with the glamorous Versace show at the Ritz Hotel. Jessica Alba, Elizabeth Banks, Milla Jovovich and Mad Men's Christina Hendricks were on hand for the affair and all sat together in the front row before meeting up again to attend a special dinner with Donatella Versace. Lea Michele also made an appearance with her boyfriend, Cory Monteith. The Glee costars are enjoying their Summer break from filming, though they'll return to shooting their small-screen hit later this month. Lea's been taking advantage of her downtime with fun travels including a recent trip to Las Vegas and stops in Amsterdam and London, where she met up with pals Darren Criss and Matthew Morrison. Milla had her own celebrity run-in during her flight to France and tweeted, "Had the pleasure of sitting next to Jennifer Lawrence on the plane and chatting. She's so sweet and gorgeous!"
The Glamour Women of the Year Awards were held last night at Berkeley Square Gardens in London, and the stars got dressed up to honor women in the fashion industry. Lea Michele stepped onto the red carpet wearing a dark blue Zac Posen gown, and an Alexander McQueen-clad Jessica Alba was also on hand to celebrate. Eva Longoria brought a splash of color to the carpet in a bright orange Victoria Beckham shift dress, as did Sofia Vergara in red.
Lea was honored with the award for best US TV actress for her ongoing role on Glee while Eva was crowned this year's most inspirational woman. Kelly Rowland took home the accolade for best TV personality and Avengers star Tom Hiddleston was on hand to accept the man of the year trophy. Other stars stepped out to party and celebrate with their friends including a Versace-clad Naomi Watts, Donatella Versace, and Vampire Diaries heartthrob Paul Wesley. Lily Collins donned a little green Alexander McQueen.
Jessica Alba shows some skin in a Versus dress on the cover of Marie Claire's June issue, which hits newsstands Tuesday, May 22. The mother of two turned 31 last month and seems to enjoy the juggling act that comes with motherhood and stardom. She recently stepped out in a Michael Kors number at the Met Gala in NYC and mingled with other famous faces at the star-studded White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington DC. Jessica will also appear in a new film, A.C.O.D., set to be released sometime in 2012. In the magazine, Jessica opens up about her early career image, how she has changed since becoming a mom, and her former sexy self. Here's more from Jessica Alba in Marie Claire:
- On her early career image: "I had a show, Fox’s Dark Angel, that premiered when I was 19. And right away, everyone formed a strong opinion about me because of the way I was marketed. I was supposed to be sexy, this tough action girl. That’s what people expected…I felt like I was being objectified, and it made me uncomfortable. I wanted to be chic and elegant!"
- On how she has changed since motherhood: "Now that I’m older, I’ve learned how to own it, but I’m still not very overt. There are some women who dress for men. I dress for myself. It took me some time to get here. Being a mom and feeling grown-up have helped. Now if I’m going to wear something short, it has to have a high neck or a little sci-fi toughness to it, an edge."
- On her former sexy self: "I like to get positive attention. But if I have a choice between someone noticing in a negative way what I’m wearing and going, What was she thinking? or someone not noticing what I’m wearing, I would rather not make a statement at all and just have a good conversation instead."
