The Mad Men Cast Joke About Historical Inaccuracies on Their Hit Show

The stars of Mad Men got together to discuss their hit show at The Paley Center for Media in NYC last night.

The stars of Mad Men got together to discuss their hit show at The Paley Center for Media in NYC last night. Jon Hamm, January Jones, Vincent Kartheiser, and the rest of the cast sat down with show creator Matthew Weiner and moderator Brian Williams for a candid discussion about the new season. During the beginning of the panel, Brian joked with Matthew about an inaccuracy from Sunday's episode — don't forget to check out our Mad Men recap — where Joan, played by Christina Hendricks, said that she had made a reservation at Le Cirque, a real-life NYC restaurant that didn't exist in 1968, when the episode took place. Matthew laughed, "Christina Hendricks isn't here, but she ad-libbed that part." Brian also asked about another un-'60s moment when Don ordered an "Old Spanish," a made-up drink from 30 Rock, which Jon, Brian, and John Slattery have all guest-starred on. Matthew and Jon confirmed that the drink order was purely a nod to Tina Fey's former show. The event was the second big night out for the group this week after they attended a BAFTA celebration of Mad Men in the Big Apple on Monday. Stay tuned for our interview with the cast from the Paley Center panel!

The cast of Mad Men got together last night at The Harvard Club in NYC, where they were celebrated by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The show's leading ladies January Jones, Jessica Paré, and Christina Hendricks all chose different looks for the occasion — who gets your best-dressed vote? Jon Hamm, John Slattery, Vincent Kartheiser, and creator Matthew Weiner were also on hand and got together with their costars for a group photo on the red carpet.

It's been a busy few days for the Mad Men actors, who have been making the press rounds in the Big Apple following the season six premiere of their series earlier this month. John Slattery stopped by CBS This Morning yesterday and joked about how Matthew keeps the cast from leaking new scripts, while January sat down for an interview on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. They'll continue promotions today when they attend a panel at the Paley Center, and we'll be on hand to get the latest.

January Mingles With Katy, Orlando, and More at Coach's Star-Studded Bash

January Jones stepped out for Coach's third annual Evening of Cocktails and Shopping at Bad Robot's headquarters in Santa Monica last night.

January Jones stepped out for Coach's third annual Evening of Cocktails and Shopping at Bad Robot's headquarters in Santa Monica last night. She made her way through the star-studded party mingling with Chloë Sevigny and Milla Jovovich, as well as a Thakoon-clad Katy Perry, Conan O'Brien, Orlando Bloom and more. Orlando was without his wife, Miranda Kerr, for the charitable night out after she made headlines yesterday for speculation surrounding her contract as a Victoria's Secret Angel. He also stepped out without Miranda for a lunch date with friends earlier in the day.

The annual bash, which benefits the Children's Defense Fund, also brought out stars like Joe Manganiello, who had his girlfriend, model Bridget Peters, with him for the evening out. Other attendees included Kate Mara, who was accompanied by beau Max Minghella, Nikki Reed, and Rosario Dawson, who greeted fellow partygoer Amy Smart with a big hug, and also found time to catch up with Ellen Pompeo.

January Brings the Volume to Miu Miu With Zoe and Renée

January Jones, Zoe Saldana, and Renée Zellweger lent their Hollywood support at Miu Miu's Fall 2013 show in Paris today.

January Jones, Zoe Saldana, and Renée Zellweger lent their Hollywood support at Miu Miu's Fall 2013 show in Paris today. January channeled her Mad Men character, Betty, when she dropped by the event in a retro hairdo and a Miu Miu ensemble. Meanwhile, Zoe and Renée sported black outfits and chatted with Rebecca Hall while sitting front row. Renée and Zoe have more in common than just their taste in designers since both women have previously dated Bradley Cooper.

It's a good thing that January is getting into the '60s spirit, as filming for Mad Men season six is still under way. Jon Hamm and John Slattery filmed scenes for the new season of Mad Men outside a hotel in LA yesterday while January was in the City of Light. Fans will be able to catch the show soon as a new Mad Men promo was released earlier this week, calling the April 7 premiere the "affair of the year."
