The alumni of the University of Westminster speaks for itself. With previous students including Christopher Bailey (who showed at the first ever Graduate Fashion Week), Cassette Playa and Armand Basi designer Markus Lupfer the bar has already been raised for this London University. The show was not short on drama this year as it was opened by fire eaters followed by a clown inspired collection by Caroline Roughley. She used a bright technicolour palette, multi coloured pompoms and plenty of volume.

There has been a lot of architectural fashion included in this week's shows and Awen Teifi continued this trend in a truly unique way. Using straps of thick leather she created volume for the line with a Hussein Chalayan feel.

Ho Yan Ip created a lifeboat themed collection using neon orange and white fabric and plenty of volume and cocoon shaped jackets. The theme lent itself surprisingly well to casualwear.

One of the best things about this show was the sheer variation in themes on show. From Charlotte Kennedy's Gareth Pugh-esque bondage line to Laura Thomas' crystal applique ball gowns to Bao Ta's super wide leg fiesta line the quality was amazingly high with every single piece being finished to a very high standard.

Emma Griffiths closed the show with a war inspired line (shown to the aptly fitting Portishead track Machine Gun) referencing classic warrior style as an oppose to your standard military references. It was monochrome with brown leather detailing (as pictured) with several Queen's Guards busby hats.
