Last night's White House State Dinner, hosted by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in honor of visiting British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha, was a star-studded affair. George Clooney brought out a tuxedo for the occasion, after testifying about his experiences in Sudan and South Sudan to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee earlier in the day. Homeland star Damian Lewis arrived with his wife Helen McCrory while Sir Richard Branson also posed for photographs on his way into the event. John Legend was on hand as a performer, but also enjoyed the dinner with fiancé Chrissy Teigen, who tweeted pictures throughout the evening, including one shot of John's shirt after he spilled on himself. The other musical entertainment came from Mumford & Sons since David and Samantha are apparently fans of the British band. Even more famous faces, including Harvey Weinstein, Anna Wintour, Georgina Chapman, and Warren Buffet, attended, so click through to see them all in the gallery!

Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week: Marchesa
We can always expect show-stopping dresses at a Marchesa presentation, and its 2011 Spring collection didn't disappoint. At all. Upon entering its intimate space at the Chelsea Art Museum, we were first treated to an enormous ebony and pearl gown of endless tulle inspired by what Keren Craig and new mom Georgina Chapman called "an Orientalist journey."
Then they departed from that idea with a series of baggy lace jumpsuits and laser-cut floral minis. Georgina's supportive husband, Harvey Weinstein, held court while she hung back and did press with Keren. Other notables like Molly Sims, Petra Nemcova, and Olivia Palermo turned out — Kelly Osbourne put up her new long hair and told us she's so excited to see lots of camels, corals, and beiges this season since "they look really good on me when I have a fake tan!" Georgina and Keren stuck to a palette of ivory, mint, and rose, giving us their latest crop of dresses bound to be spotted on future red carpets. One more cool thing about this presentation — we spotted some kind assistants walking around and actually feeding the models peanut M&Ms and apple juice! Amazing.

Fab Flash: Georgina Chapman has a Baby Girl
Way back in April, I told you that Georgina Chapman was expecting her first child. The Marchesa designer commented at the time, "We're so excited!"
Georgina and her husband Harvey Weinstein welcomed a baby girl on Sunday night who they have named India Pearl Weinstein. This is her first child, but Harvey has three children from a previous marriage. Friends commented, "Mother and daughter are doing great."
The Marchesa presentation takes place in two weeks at New York Fashion Week and Georgina is planning on being present. Congratulations!
Fab Flash: Georgina Chapman is Expecting
It really feels like being pregnant or having a baby is en vogue right now! So many celebrities are currently pregnant including Pearl Lowe, Jules Oliver, Claudia Schiffer, and Sam Taylor-Wood, and now another is set to join them as Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman announces her pregnancy.
The designer is married to movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and spends most of her time across the pond in the USA. She confessed to The Daily late last week, "I'm five months along, but this dress hides it pretty well! We're so excited!"
Sara Cox, Natasha Kaplinsky and Carly Zucker have all given birth in the last month. So should we expect a sudden surge in both maternity clothing and hip babywear anytime soon?
Marchesa To Design Makeup Collection For Le Métier de Beauté
Ever since I had an extravagant makeover at the new Le Métier de Beauté counter in Liberty, I've been in awe of their creamy foundation, biscotti scented glosses and their intensely pigmented shadows and lipsticks. Although I don't always go for the obvious bright green and blue hues, I'm obsessed with Alexandrite, a metallic plum that makes my hazel eyes pop!
Apparently, the fashion house Marchesa, which is headed by Georgina Chapman and Kerin Craig, are equally enthralled with the luxury brand. In fact, LMDB is scheduled to do the makeup for the February, 2010 Marchesa New York Fashion Show, and they will also replace NARS as the sponsor. Additionally, Georgina is creating a mini-collection due out in 2011. Now she can personally customise the colours that she wants used on her runways!

I've always loved when fashion and beauty collide and this kind of collaboration is truly exciting for both brands. I see big things in the future for Le Métier de Beauté. The once quiet, but extremely high quality range that can count Victoria Beckman, Christina Aguilera, Eve, and Nelly Furtado among their fans is sure to explode once the buzz of this beauty company gets out. Have you tried any LMDB products yet? If so, what did you think of them?

Trend Alert: Making Straight Look Great
At last night's New York City screening of The September Issue, a documentary about Vogue, Anna Wintour and what goes into putting together the biggest issue of the magazine, the crème de la crème of the fashion world rocked the red carpet. I don't know about you, but I especially loved this photo of Sienna Miller touching Anna Wintour. Doesn't it just make you feel uncomfortable to see someone warmly and openly engaging the model ice queen?

I also loved gawking at Georgina Chapman (Marchesa designer), Vera Wang and Bee Shaffer's shiny, long hair. They make straight look glamorous and enviable with evenly cut edges and a kind of body that only comes from what I have to guess is hours of mane maintenance. Seriously, it looks as though their hair has been spun from silk! No matter how many deep conditioning treatments I incur, my hair will never grow to be that long and look that healthy. Do you have any secrets for how to get luxe hair like Georgina, Vera and Bee?
