Freema Agyeman is best known for playing Martha Jones in Doctor Who and its spin-off series Torchwood, but the British actress is about to go global thanks to her role in The Carrie Diaries. Born on 20 March 1979 to an Iranian mother and Ghanaian father, Freema grew up in London and studied acting at university.
She has been cast as Larissa, whom Deadline describes as: "Carrie’s mentor, a hip, cutting-edge editor/party girl who works at Interview magazine." This weekend, Freema filmed her first scenes with young Carrie aka AnnaSophia Robb and I'm already lusting after her wardrobe.
