After touring in Europe, the cast of Catching Fire is back in North America! And — if we do say so — it seems like the style stars were waiting to break out their most showstopping looks for the movie's NYC, Toronto, and Los Angeles premieres. Jennifer Lawrence flashed a section of midriff in her black Dior dress, while Elizabeth Banks went for the drama in glittering Jenny Packham harem pants. Jena Malone brought the action up north on Tuesday in a stunning black and gold dress. But at Monday's LA premiere, sheer was the name of the game: Lawrence stunned in a transparent belted dress that was almost overshadowed by an equally sheer number on Jena Malone. Meanwhile, Banks showed she wasn't afraid of bold color in a bright, curve-hugging gown by Versace. Clearly, these red carpet games show no signs of slowing. Hungry for more? It looks like it's all fun and games once you're outside the arena. The cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire headed to Berlin on the latest stop in their promotional tour, and there were plenty of laughs to go around. Jennifer Lawrence had another winning look with her white coat dress from Dior, while Elizabeth Banks rocked a floor-length Elie Saab gown. The girls posed for pictures with Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, and it seemed the group couldn't stop themselves from laughing with each other! We're not surprised to see more red carpet shenanigans from Jennifer, especially after her tickle fight with Josh at the world premiere in London on Monday.
Some of the most impactful women in Hollywood, from studio heads to A-list actresses, came together in Beverly Hills at today's Variety Power of Women event to celebrate good works. Kerry Washington, Amy Poehler, Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Hudson, and Elizabeth Banks were all honored for their charitable efforts on behalf of a range of good causes, including AIDS prevention and heart disease.
Amy Poehler was given a Lifetime Impact Award for her partnership with Worldwide Orphans Foundation. She gave a powerful and occasionally tearful acceptance speech but couldn't resist injecting some of her signature humor into her address. She told attendees that if they took away anything from the event, it should be that "giving to charity is good for your skin and makes your ass smaller." On a more serious note, Nicole, who was recognized for her work with UN Women, credited her mother's independent streak with sparking her commitment to the cause. "I was raised by a feminist mother. She said, 'Never be frightened of using the 'F' word.'" Charlize, founder of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program, similarly took the opportunity to honor her own mom, who joined her at the luncheon. The actress was brought to tears as she dedicated the tribute to her, thanking her for both teaching her how to be a "decent human being" and "for turning me into a p*ssy every time I talk about you."

I'd love to tell you the full star-studded cast of Movie 43 but I'm afraid we'd be here all day. The trailer for off-the-wall comedy includes Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Anna Faris, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis, Chris Pratt, Chloe Moretz, Justin Long, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The film is a collection of 25 different stories, and as far as I can tell, the only common theme is stars behaving badly. Halle Berry blows out the candles on a blind kid's birthday cake, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber bully their teenager, and Gerard Butler is a leprechaun.
A handful of bloated comedies have proven that the megaensemble is a tricky beast, but this has me wondering if the formula might actually work this time. It could be amazing, or it could be an epic fail. The movie opens Jan. 25, and you can watch the NSFW red-band trailer after the jump.
The cast of Pitch Perfect hit the red carpet for their LA premiere last night. Elizabeth Banks wore a sexy black Alexander McQueen dress for the occasion and posed with costar Adam DeVine, while Rebel Wilson, in ABS, got together with Anna Camp, who will return to the small screen in The Good Wife on Sept. 30. Anna Kendrick arrived in a nude Zuhair Murad look and later changed into a black number to party with her costars and director Jason Moore. Brittany Snow was also on hand to celebrate the movie's debut ahead of its limited release this Friday — take a sneak peek at Pitch Perfect and other Fall films!
Film Independent's Los Angeles Film Festival 2012 rolled on yesterday with the premiere of People Like Us at Regal Cinemas. Elizabeth Banks stood out in gold J. Mendel as she posed with her leading man, Chris Pine. Michelle Pfeiffer was also on hand in a gray dress, though costar Olivia Wilde didn't make the event. The movie, which is just one of Elizabeth's many current projects, hits theaters at the end of this month. She also has the comedy Pitch Perfect coming out in October and recently shared her excitement about the new trailer on Twitter. Elizabeth will be switching gears back to her eccentric Hunger Games character, Effie, when filming for the second installment, Catching Fire, gets underway later this Summer.
The stars came out for the MTV Movie Awards red carpet at the Gibson Amphitheater in LA this evening. Nikki Reed led the pack of ladies when she arrived in a gold Randi Rahm dress with Paul McDonald by her side. Jenna Dewan also posed alongside her husband, Channing Tatum, who was nominated for best hero. Snow White and the Huntsman's Charlize Theron chose a bright red Lanvin look while her costar Kristen Stewart went with a metallic Guishem mini as they celebrated the successful opening weekend of their fairy-tale project.
Presenter Emma Stone, in a Martin Grant skirt and top, posed for pictures solo, and Emma Watson, who also took the stage, wore a printed number by Brood. Jessica Biel went with white Chanel as she preps for her possible Summer wedding. There were many more fun looks on the carpet including nominee Elizabeth Banks in a black Elie Saab jumpsuit and presenter Leighton Meester in a light Christian Cota ensemble. Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez, in Maria Lucia Hohan, hit the red carpet in LA last night for the West Coast premiere of What to Expect When You're Expecting, which is out in the US Friday. Last week, Cameron debuted the movie in NYC along with a handful of their many costars, like Chris Rock, Chace Crawford, Brooklyn Decker, and Elizabeth Banks. This time around, Cameron had J Lo on her arm for pictures. An Alexander McQueen-clad Elizabeth and Brooklyn, in Giambattista Valli, were also on hand again, as was Wendi McLendon-Covey, Rodrigo Santoro, and Matthew Morrison. J Lo's boyfriend Casper Smart was also seen hurrying down the press line on his way inside Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
We caught up with many of the stars before the screening began. Brooklyn spoke about how wearing a prosthetic belly in the film wasn't great practice for actual motherhood, while new uncle Chace Crawford, whose sister Candice had her first baby in April, said he's personally conflicted about being a real father. Matthew, meanwhile, revealed he's known that Kate Hudson will be on Glee since she spilled the beans at the White House Correspondents' Dinner! Stay tuned for all of our interviews on PopSugar Rush later today.
