Emma Roberts and Rachel Bilson got dressed up for the Chanel NRDC Celebration of Art, Nature, and Technology dinner in LA last night. It was a star-studded affair as Tobey Maguire and his wife, Jennifer Meyer, as well as Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, and Pharrell Williams and his fiancée, Helen Lasichanh, were in attendance. Although Cindy, Tobey, and Pharrell had their significant others along, Rachel and Emma stepped out solo for the evening celebrating environmental action. Despite being without her boyfriend, Evan Peters, Emma revealed that she enjoyed the night out, writing on Twitter, "Such a beautiful dinner with Chanel and NRDC."

Emma did have Evan's support a few weeks ago when she took the stage for Glamour's "These Girls" event in NYC, where she shared a written essay detailing her efforts to lead a normal college life. Rachel also got in a bit of romantic time with her beau, Hayden Christensen, during a bikini-filled getaway to Barbados in April.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner showed love yesterday afternoon at the John Varvatos 10th annual Stuart House Benefit. Ben and Jen were the day's cochairs, and they arrived together, posing for pictures separately and side by side, before heading into the event and taking the stage to help raise funds for Stuart House, a rape treatment center. Ben welcomed the time with his wife, telling reporters that he's been relaxing with his family since winning best picture for Argo. He said, "I've been able to really just enjoy my good fortune in the last couple of weeks and sit back and kind of just take it in and not do anything, just eat ice cream on the couch. It's been a really nice time to hang out with my wife and that sort of thing, so we're just enjoying it."

They were among the many celebrity couples who turned out for the bash. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber looked right at home in the California sunshine, as did Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Joe Manganiello made the rounds with girlfriend Bridget Peters, though Nina Dobrev was without her boyfriend and Vampire Diaries costar Ian Somerhalder.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder were together in LA for yesterday's John Varvatos Stuart House benefit, which raises funds for the rape treatment center at Santa Monica-UCLA hospital. Dave Matthews performed, and Leslie Mann cohosted a silent auction with husband Judd Apatow. The annual event also brought out Hollywood couples like a loved-up Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, as well as Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman. Rachel and Rodger made the rounds with their almost 1-year-old son Skyler, who celebrates his first birthday on March 22. Zoe Saldana also turned out during a break from shooting Star Trek, as did Harry Potter's Tom Felton with girlfriend Jade Olivia, and True Blood hottie Joe Manganiello. Nina and Ian are in California during a break from working on The Vampire Diaries in Atlanta. The Vampire Diaries cast was at Paley Fast on Saturday, but yesterday's highlight for Ian was meeting Alice Cooper. He tweeted about the magnitude of meeting his former idol, writing, "What a weekend . . . I use to air guitar that dude when I was a youngster." Nina, meanwhile, had another connection to Rachel Zoe. At the Paley panel, Nina donned a black dress from the Rachel Zoe Collection. Nina told us that she was hopping on a plane right after the Varvatos event to return to her and Ian's Georgia set.

Last night's amfAR gala in NYC brought out a roster of celebrities and models to toast the AIDS-fighting charity on the eve of Fashion Week. Fall 2012 Fashion Week begins today, but there were plenty of gorgeous gowns on display yesterday. Host Sarah Jessica Parker donned a pink Oscar de la Renta gown, which she paired with a leather motorcycle jacket and white gloves while posing for pictures. Leighton Meester broke from filming Gossip Girl to hit the carpet in Louis Vuitton, while other ladies like Julianne Moore, Cindy Crawford, and Elizabeth Hurley wore Roberto Cavalli. Even Leonardo DiCaprio's current squeeze, Erin Heatherton, stepped out in Cavalli. It was Heidi Klum's first public event post-split from husband Seal, and she too wore Cavalli.The guests were treated to dinner, an auction, and performances from Theophilus London and Janelle Monáe.

Last night's Lakers game brought out a wide range of celebrities! Ashton Kutcher was courtside to watch the Lakers beat the Houston Rockets following his European escapades. He traveled in Rome with pal Lorene Scafaria, then went on to Greece. Ashton partied in Athens with a brunette, but he's since wrapped up the fun. He was seated right next to 2 Broke Girls star Kat Dennings, who was loved up with her guy, Nick Zano.

Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, sat with their bud Alex Rodriguez. The evening gave a chance for ARod to go public with Torrie Wilson, his new blond girlfriend with a history as a star in the WWE. The foursome are fresh off a vacation in Cabo, where they hung out with George Clooney and his own WWE lady, Stacy Keibler.

Many of Hollywood's hottest couples hit the red carpet in LA yesterday for the premiere of Iris, a new production from Cirque du Soleil. Matthew McConaughey threw on a fancy vest to pose alongside his sequined ladylove Camila Alves, while Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber shared an afternoon out with their kids. Christina Hendricks posed with husband Geoffrey Arend, as did Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka. NPH was impressed with what he saw, basically tweeting a rave review. He wrote, "Just saw the premiere of Cirque du Soleil's new show Iris. It's ammazing! If you come to Hollywood, it is a must see! Best show in years!" Recently single Joe Manganiello was looking hunky before the show began, and he was able to mingle with some other single stars like Vanessa Hudgens.

Cindy Crawford just alighted off a boat — helmed by George Clooney, no less — in Italy for the Venice Film Festival wearing a dramatic red Roberto Cavalli gown, Chopard jewels, and her megawatt smile. We adore the iconic supermodel and love her even more for schooling us in seriously grownup, totally luxurious glamour. George Clooney took off his bow tie and let loose with pals Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford at the Venice Film Festival opening dinner in Italy tonight. They were joined by Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, Evan Rachel Wood, and others for the event after the stars all attended the premiere of The Ides of March earlier in the day. Diane slipped out of her Elie Saab gown and into a sparkly black and white number for the evening's festivities, while Cindy and Evan sported their same red-carpet looks. The first day of the festival may be winding down, but there is still plenty of excitement in store, since Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Matt Damon are just a few of the big names expected make their way to the Italian city in the coming days.
