The much maligned bum bag is set to make a return to fashion this year as the practical accessory is revived for the sportswear trend. The bum bag, or fanny pack as it is better known across the Atlantic, is not necessarily the most chic of travel companions, but has been reinvented by Louis Vuitton and Chanel to name a few. It's still a fanny pack no matter how many bells and whistles that you put on it, or however you dress it up. And fanny packs are just not cool.
1Agree with #1 - There is no scenario where wearing a fanny pack or 'pouch' as my mother called it back in the day (we'll call it late 1980s/early 1990s) is hip... functional, yes, useful, sure... but attractive/hip/fun/fashionable? Not a shot!
