Alexander Wang fans unite: the boy wunderkind is finally launching a swimwear collection set to debut for resort. Details are still on the hush, but we do know that the line is set to feature, "sexy cutouts and athletic references." We're crossing our fingers that Wang's waterproof offerings look something like the tomboy-cool, swim-like pieces he showed in his Spring '09 and Spring '10 collection seen below.

How to Wear Summer Sequins

While the holidays are prime time for sequined wear, you can still wear your shimmering tops, bottoms, and little dresses right now, as long as you stick to a few strategic style guidelines.
How to Wear Sequins

While the holidays are prime time for sequined wear, you can still wear your shimmering tops, bottoms, and little dresses right now, as long as you stick to a few strategic style guidelines. The key to working Summer sequins is to make it look casual and nonchalant. Forget ultra-tight silhouettes and think breezy, not clingy. To help show you how, we've garnered fashionable examples from Joy Bryant, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Diane Kruger, who all suited up in their own versions of Summer-perfect, easy sequined styles. Now, click through to see how you can do the same.

Alexander Wang Shares His Spring Essentials, Favorite Artists of the Moment, and More!

Last night, Alexander Wang and American Express hosted an event at his beautiful flagship store in the SoHo area of NYC.

Last night, Alexander Wang and American Express hosted an event at his beautiful flagship store in the SoHo area of NYC. FabSugarUS caught up with the designer to talk about his favorite pieces for Spring, new projects on the horizon, designing red-carpet looks, and more.

FabSugar: What are three Spring essentials every Wang girl should own?

Alexander Wang: I've never been one to dictate style, but my favorite pieces are really gauzy pieces from the Spring collection with the apron style and worker construction details. I'm also a big fan of leather and we have an exclusive collection at the flagship store — the leather peacoat is my favorite. Our new rose gold accessories are also great; the square Jade toiletry clutch is my favorite. It's such an easy day-to- night bag, I'd own it if I carried a clutch!

FS: What's your next big challenge?

AW: Even though the new website launched three weeks ago, it's still a really big thing for us. We're working really hard to give it exclusive content, making the shopping content unique; really enhancing everything about it from viewing the collections to special collaborations. It's an exciting project for me because it is something so new and and we're doing a lot of experiments on it.

Alexander Wang's First Print Ad Campaign

Alexander Wang is ready to launch his first print campaign as the young designer is set to include this image in the March edition of Interview Magazine.

Alexander Wang is ready to launch his first print campaign as the young designer is set to include this image in the March edition of Interview Magazine. He is also going to have a billboard in New York from 7th February showcasing his Spring collection. Four images were shot by Craig McDean starring Aymeline Valade where she poses against a sky blue background. Wang isn't calling this an ad campaign as he explained, "We restrained from using those words, because you set yourself up for doing things in a systematic way — like rolling out ads in the magazines certain times of the year. For us, it’s about testing the waters and doing something out of the box.” Do you like this image?

2011 Spring New York Fashion Week: Alexander Wang

The cool chick has a new uniform, and it's not black.

The cool chick has a new uniform, and it's not black. Actually, it's the opposite of black — it's stark white! Wang worked his magic touch, giving cool girls all over the world a brand new, fresh uniform for upcoming Spring. The designer once again picked an out-of-the way location at Pier 94. The star turnout wasn't as thrilling as years past — MIA and Lenny Kravitz were among the boldest of names. Alexander told FabUS that he was moved by an "under construction" vibe.

That was evident in his constructions that featured a metallic-duct-tape-esque detail. His models coordinated with rugged high-heeled boots, which added to their worker aesthetic. The rest went a little something like this: silky, flowy white fabrics, crazy cool asymmetrical details, ruched pants, baggy jackets, and loose-fitting jumpsuits. Interspersed were mint-colored, lime, and nude pieces — all oversized — which meld with the understated vibe. The colors are minimalist, true, but the silhouettes are anything but. Look closely and you'll see a lot of thought-out detail: tie-waists, layering, cutouts, sheer, crisscross backs. I hope you're taking notes because come Spring '11, all the cool girls will be under construction.
