If there's one couple we (always) keep close style tabs on, it's definitely Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Yesterday, the royal pair celebrated their second wedding anniversary, and while it feels like yesterday that we were floored by her custom Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress, their second year as husband and wife has been filled with superchic — not to mention, monumental — moments for both. While Kate has become a master of high-low styling, favouring everything from Topshop and Whistles to Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen, William is just as good at donning a cool mix of dapper suits and more casual fare. Lest we forget, the couple is expecting their first child in July, which means we're on baby bump watch, too! To fete William and Kate's wedding anniversary, we've rounded up their best fashion moments in the two years since tying the knot. Here are more than 150 photos to commemorate.
We've seen little of the expecting Duchess since she's announced the news of her pregnancy, but what we have seen, are photos of Kate walking around Chelsea and Glasgow clad in plaid. From a Diane von Furstenberg coat to a bespoke Alexander McQueen coat dress, a Zara cape and most recently a grey and navy tartan number from Moloh (all of which are non-maternity), take a look at what Kate Middleton has been wearing in the UK to keep her growing royal belly safe and warm. At the end of the photos, don't forget to take a moment to vote on which piece of outerwear you like best.
With awards season upon us, one trending evening style is black and gold gowns. Just look at Kate Hudson wearing Alexander McQueen to the Golden Globes, Naomi Watts also wearing Alexander McQueen to the People's Choice Awards, Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka at the Globes and most recently, Alesha Dixon was pictured yesterday at the Britain's Got Talent auditions in Cardiff. Shop long black gowns with serious gold embellishments, slits, cutouts and all kinds of coolness below and let me know which dress you like best.
This month is all about the Olympics, so that's reflected in my wardrobe with sporty offerings from the likes of Stella McCartney and Ashish for Topshop. Festival season continues, making ingenious Hunter wellies top on my list, while the latest British It bag from Alexander McQueen has got me salivating. New beauty buys from the National Trust, MAC, Chanel and Benefit round out my August must haves. Take a look here at my picks and tell me yours!
Last month, rumours claimed British models would take part in a fashion event as part of the Olympics Closing Ceremony in London this August. Documents leaked and published today have now added further details about this tribute to great British fashion. As previously reported, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell will walk the catwalk, and today's reports suggest they will be joined by Stella Tennant, Lily Cole and Georgia May Jagger wearing outfits from the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen to a music backdrop of David Bowie songs 'Fashion' and 'Rebel Rebel'. While I'm disappointed Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's name seems to have dropped off the list, I can't wait to see the event. Are you excited for this Olympic fashion parade at the Closing Ceremony on August 12?
New pictures from the Alexander McQueen Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign have been released, with model Suvi Koponen photographed by David Sims. Ever since the catwalk show back in March I've been obsessing over the pink and silver feathers and fur. The highly textured collection in ruffled organzas features three-dimensional silhouettes with enamel blossom embroideries, funnel necks and bell-shaped skirts. Those mirrored visor glasses are back for the ads, as are mink and leather ankle boots. Take a look here and tell me what you think!
This weekend, the Queen's Birthday Honour's List was announced and two of Britain's biggest fashion stars were rewarded. Alexander McQueen's creative director Sarah Burton received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for her services to the fashion industry, and Mulberry's creative director Emma Hill receive a CBE (Commander of the British Empire). Other fashion favourites on the list included jewellery designer Lara Bohinc, who was awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire), and actress Kate Winslet who received a CBE. It's no surprise Sarah Burton was honoured, as she managed to keep Kate Middleton's wedding dress a secret right up until the big day last year. Congratulations to all on the list!
Rumour has it Britain's modelling greats Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will take part in an event to show off the wonders of British fashion at the Olympics Closing Ceremony this August. They will showcase outfits by designers such as Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood during a music show on August 12. A source said:
"Organisers wanted the best of British — and that’s exactly what they’ve got. The models were all keen to take part because it will be such a memorable event. British style is known around the world for innovation and creativity, so it’s right that it will be celebrated as part of the show — it will look amazing."
The closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in London is called A Symphony of British Music and will include tracks from classical composers like Edward Elgar right up to contemporary pop stars such as Adele. Take That's stage show mastermind Kim Gavin is creative director and choreographer for the ceremony, which will also include Sir Paul McCartney. Are you excited to see Kate, Naomi and Rosie on one catwalk together at the show?

Today's Early May Bank Holiday kicks off a period of patriotism for us Brits. In honour of the upcoming Diamond Jubilee celebrations and 2012 London Olympics, Union Jack flags have started to be laid out everywhere, but the print needn't be confined to street decorations.
Plenty of designers have jumped on the Britannia bandwagon, with the red, white and blue of the flag adorning everything from Cath Kidston earrings and Hunter wellies to Alexander McQueen and Mulberry bags. Make like Team GB in a replica Stella McCartney Adidas swimsuit or keep it subtle in a Vivienne Westwood distressed Union Jack scarf. Shop my patriotic picks above, and let me know how you'll celebrate all things British in your wardrobe!
