I'm not the biggest fan of coloured dry shampoos or even coloured mascara for that matter, but when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, I've found that choosing a product that has colour enhancing capabilities is quite helpful.
They help keep my freshly dyed hair from fading and looking dull within a few short weeks, and I like how the pigment adds a touch of thickness, moisture and a ton of shine. Lastly, and best of all, because of all of the scale in our water, a colour enhanced shampoo and/or conditioner also helps to counteract brassiness in blondes, red tones in brunettes and rusty effects in redheads.
The only drawback is that you typically have to let it sit anywhere from five to ten minutes, so I tend to alternate with a regular shampoo if I'm in a hurry. Are you a fan of colour enhancing hair products?

1i don't use it - i think that although there can be a benefit to those types of products - that i have the fear that i'll ruin my sheets. besides, my hair seems to look ok with the products that i currently use.
2I colour my hair red (Julianne Moore red) and I have to use colour-enhancing products to compensate for the fading that happens every time I wash my hair. Unfortunately red is the most difficult colour to maintain as it fades when you wash your hair no matter what.
3I have tried all kinds of colour-protection shampoos and conditioners but nothing worked, so I had to use colour-depositing products. Now I am pretty happy with the results although the colour still fades by the end of week 4/5 when I go for a retouch. And I still have to colour both roots and ends every time (albeit, the ends only for much less time) otherwise I'd have two toned hair. Plus, colour-enhancing products give one more benefit: roots (my natural colour is light ash brown) do not stand out that much in the 3rd or 4th week.
BTW I never had stains in my sheets or pillows. Maybe you do when you use no-rinse products, but I've never used them.
