Well found BushraUK.... I remember when I got "sold" one at the age of 13.... didn't have a clue what I was signing up for but it was quickly found by my mum and destroyed! They're dangerous! Of your moral high ground Sir Philip and start thinking about your part....

Wow I didn't know this controversy surrounding him ... guess I should keep up on my news
I
love Topshop but they are seriously so overpriced for the quality and designs. That said, I love this playing card dress, however if I wore it I'd look like I was 12. I'd better stick to the
feather cocktail one!
I agree with you bigestivediscuit, I had no idea about all of this. I do love both of those tassled boots though. I guess I get sucked in shopping there because their prices are lower than designer brands, but they are still quite high for the quality they are producing. Perhaps this change in economy will trickle down and make TopShop more affordable again.
4I remember going to London 5 years ago and going to Topshop for the first time - things were way more affordable! (and I know this makes me sound like an old lady but..) It's ridiculously over priced now, but the quality and finish haven't really improved.
Love that feathered dress, but I know I'd spend my time afraid the feathers would come off.
I'm like that even with sequins!
You can't get a decent top there for less than £25. I mean, if it was really worth it, I would, but something about flimsy jersey material that doesn't last one wash doesn't exactly win me
over. And I'm like you, Advah, I have problems with sequins too! I will say though, that Topshop do make some great staple pieces like their cotton basics and also their jeans. I love the
Moto skinny Baxter jeans and am going back to get a pair of black ones (seeing as how the love of my life All Saints pair isn't going down from 70 quid anytime soon)
next week.
I agree that the quality isn't always great, this is what always puts me off the Kate Moss stuff but they are usually the closest to catwalk/designer pieces. Also I like the designer collaborations like Jonathan Saunders, Alice McCall etc.
Store cards are evil. No matter which store!
7Top shop 5 year's ago where offering affordable spot on trend clothes that weren't just copied! Recently I go and don't like anything... and have seen all the silhouette before! as you all say the fabric and finish is just really poor! Their Jeans are great and I've definitely stopped buying designer overly priced versions that fall apart...
8^ I agree about the jeans, and love their Petite section. Not long ago I went to Urban Outfitters to get a pair of boyfriend/baggy jeans, the girl told me to get them from Topshop cause you can't get any better.
Sadly Topshop don't have baggy jeans anymore (even if it's in the listings) since it's all about skinny now.
Still looking for baggy jeans ugh.
91. They do have a baggy jean now, called the mooch jean (http://tinyurl.com/63gekz) and a 'vintage boyfriend jean' (http://tinyurl.com/63xyx3), I have ordered the mooch and it is in fact pretty baggy, tho' not very flattering on me unfortunately.
2. What I really want to b*tch out is the US website. Topshop was always a little pricey but I liked that fact that (at least here in CA) it was a unique piece ie not everyone would have the same top as me. But now, not only are things selling out left, right, and center but if you check xe.com, topshop is charging on average 10 dollars OVER the normal exchange rate!! UGH!

interesting that you posted about TopShop as owner Phillip Green is blasting banks for being irresponsible when all his stores push store cards with extortionate interest rates. mate you've gotta take *some* of the blame!
