When watching fashion shows some trends leave me a little bit overexcited. For example, as a child of the '90s I couldn't wait to tell you about the return of '90s trends [1] and knew you'd be pleased to hear about it. However, on the flip side some trends leave me with a horrible feeling in my stomach and I know I'll have to sit this trend out. Well, the bare midriff is unfortunately one of those trends! It appeared on the catwalk at Osman Yousefzada [2], House of Holland [3] and Cacharel. [4] Ironically, this style goes hand-in-hand with the '90s revival as tops are cropped to reveal a bit of flesh.

The easiest way to work this trend is with high waisted trousers and a trapeze jacket (as seen at Yousefzada above right) but if you're feeling brave (and have toned abs) then go all out with a cropped top and trousers that finish just below your belly-button.
