Last night the 2008 Inside Soap Awards took place at Gilgamesh in London celebrating the best of UK soaps. The stars of Hollyoaks were there showing off their individual style. Three of the McQueen sisters were there alongside Steph (played by Carly Stenson) but who do you think is the best dressed? Check out a gallery of the girls on the red carpet here.

Carly Stenson's outfit reminds me of the Spice Girls - so 90s she looks terrible!
1Mercedes (don't know the actress' name) looks too skinny-I always liked the fact that her character was curvy and sexy but now she just looks drained
Carmel (I am clearly not interested in using their real names) looks the nicest. Red always looks good on blondes. I like what Tina is trying to achieve, but somehow, it just doesn't work.
What is Mercedes playing at wearing a dark belt with that dress, which is trash-fest anyway, and as for Steph, is she aware that it is not 1998? I know nineties might be back, but I didn't think that covered a cross between Geri Haliwell and a cruise singer.
2Largent, I could not agree more with your Carly analysis. However, the real fault with Mercedes outfit surely lies with the shoes? And Nikki, I agree that she shouldn't have lost so much weight, she looks much better with a few curves.
I think Tina's outfit is nice. Maybe a bit understated but I'm allll about understated glamour.
3Shiny Laura, you're right, the shoes are awful! I was too busy focusing on my disgust over the dress to even notice!
4Steph looks so bad I actually can't handle it. What is going on with that hair? A case of epic fail, that's what. And Carmel's hair! Big hair is the best, true fact, but there's a difference between volume and solid, 80s power-hair.
I think Tina looks best, but only by process of elimination.
5I picked Carmel, the red looks gorgeous on her, but I do love what Tina's wearing it's always nice seeing her out of her character's frumpy clothes.
6Leah b/c her look is practical and chic. It can be worn to all sorts of occasions, but Jennifer came in a close second because her look is flirty and fun! And Carly just looks like a damn fool.
7I can't believe that's mousy Tina, she looks so nice there! Maybe a bit understated for an awards do, but it's my favourite of the 4. I think both the shoes and dress with Mercedes' dress are just wrong. Not that I like the dress itself at all, but it could have been salvaged with the right accessories.
