With slightly fluffy, matte hair being on the beauty radar lately, suddenly super-shiny straight hair seems a bit last season. I have to admit that there is something WAG-ish about poker straight locks, especially when they're flat with no volume or bounce.
Having said that, I'm torn. I do love the shine that using straighteners brings to hair and whenever I see girls with glossy, straight hair in the street I'm more than a little jealous.
How about you, do you still straighten your hair?
I rarely straighten my hair just because it gets humid a lot here in va so my hair instantly curls up. I'll leave it straight for a few days after leaving the salon but for the most part, curls are where it's at q:

I have to straighten mine as for some reason my hair is curly underneath and straight on top, and looks as if I never brush it if it isn't straightened. Also, I recently had it cut into a Louise Brooks-esque short bob, and matte and frizzy wouldn't really work :/

I have always done the fluffy matte look 'cos my hair is so naturally flat!

i really like to give my hair dark shiny body , with some wave to it, not super straight. think zooey deschanel hair except my hair is shorter. i think texture is waaaaay sexier than stick straight hair

My hair is already straight with some waves in it my hair is bronze so it looks amazing in the sun my hair is sexy! I love how it ripples in the sunlight I bearly do anything to it its just straight naturaly

I straighten mine but I think the difference is that I don't over straighten it - it still looks natural and I use gel to mess it up a bit. The reason why I straighten it is because naturally my hair is somewhere between wavy and straight and just looks a mess!
