There were plenty of rumours surrounding the plans for the Chanel show including a possible appearance of Naomi Cambell and although Lagerfeld did not disappoint, Naomi was no where to be seen. Chanel do not do things by halves, and this resort show in Miami featured 60 looks and 18 synchronized swimmers!

People were expecting a Miami vice feel to the collection but Karl kept us on our toes as always beginning with a dark palette and twists on the classic tuxedo. Waists were high but hemlines were higher with bum-skimming skirts and shorts leaving little to the imagination. There was a classic glamour feel with plenty of applique and over-the-top feathers.

The palette extended as the collection went on eventually ending with pastel shades of blue and pink. The line contained knitwear which had intriguing detail and sheer fabrics featured throughout.

Lagerfeld spoke to WWD before the show, "It’s all about proportions, cuts, volumes...There is not one line that is taken all through the collection. For cruise, you don’t do that. There are many looks and an attitude.”

Blonde hair was bobbed with a heavy fringe which dark hair was slicked down with a low bun.
