If you can't spend the whole Summer on the beach then Emilie Hagen's jewellery might help you along the way. The designer has created a cute starfish necklace that is sure to get you in Summer mood. Hagen usually creates long necklaces with nature themed pendants including leaves and sea creatures and this season there is a golden starfish (£108) in the collection.
This simple piece would be great with a white Summer dress and sandals, but can also be worn in the colder months to remind you of Summer memories! What do you think of Emilie Hagen's unique piece?
I just can't keep up my poker face as I look at these photos of Lady Gaga — talk about X marks the spot! The eclectic singer was seen in Cork, Ireland signing autographs for her fans wearing a mesh flesh top, braces and black, high waisted pants. Now Cheryl Cole had material to hide her headlights, but Lady Gaga just used electrical tape to cover up. I think this look gives off a racy, Madonna style vibe. It's not something I'd wear, but if there's anyone who can get away with pushing boundaries, it's Lady G! What do you use as nipples covers?
I'm sad to say that one of my favouite bath and body brands from childhood is in trouble. WWD reports that the US branch of Crabtree & Evelyn is filing for Chapter 11, as it can not recover from a multi-million loss in the past two years. The company was founded in 1972 and currently makes over 25 lines like India Hicks Island (Living and Night), Nantucket Briar, Naturals and La Source. They have 126 stores and employ over 950 people in the states.
At least I can stock up on my favourites here in the UK, I just hope the company doesn't become redundant altogether. The good news is that The Guardian reported that, "The British branches will remain unaffected." There are even plans for two additional store openings within the next couple of months.
Whilst I know that I've been tightening my belt during this terrible credit crunch, it's sad to see how many businesses are being affected. Do you use Crabtree & Evelyn? If so, what's your favourite product?
Celebrity Watch: Orange Eyes We've seen orange lipstick on everyone in the Springtime and we've seen orange nails on the runways, but now, celebrities seem to be flocking to orange eye shadows and eye liners too. Rihanna, Jessica Alba, Christina Ricci and Charlize Theron are just a few beauties that have taken a liking to burnt siennas and goldeny copper toned colours. Read more about it here!
All of this back and forth is making it difficult to keep up with Mrs. Warren's salon's visits as she's constantly ping-ponging between blonde and brown hair. Yesterday she was spotted shopping for sunnies and getting her nails done with a bleachy, almost yellowy shade of golden locks but just four days before she attended the BET pre-show awards dinner with dark hair. I like her better au natural (yes, by that I mean as a brunette) — how about you?
Fab Ad: Chloé Fall '09 When it comes to ads, Chloé has done it all: streets, deserts, beach, and now Spanish wheat fields. This is the second major ad campaign for designer Hannah MacGibbon, who has decided to stick with photographer Mikael Jansson, despite using different models. This time around Kasia Struss, Sigrid Agren, and Karlie Kloss will appear in the new ads. Read more about it here!
