Last night at the V&A in London, a host of fashion fans headed to a private view of the museum's new Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950 exhibition. The display of gorgeous gowns opens to the public on May 19, but designers like Sarah Burton, Alice Temperley, Roksanda Ilincic, Gareth Pugh, John Rocha and Erdem Moralioglu plus model Laura Bailey and actress Joan Collins got a sneak peek. Featuring more than sixty designs for private parties, royal balls, state occasions and opening nights, the exhibition celebrates the V&A's newly renovated Fashion Galleries, which feature red carpet evening dresses and catwalk creations. Last night in London, Geri Halliwell showed off her new hairdo at a Marie Curie Cancer Fundraiser at Claridge's. Ginger Spice has been strawberry blonde for a number of years now, but she's tended to keep her locks long and flowing. The British singer turned fashion designer has gone for the chop now with a chin-length curly bob replacing her previous shoulder-length style. Royal Mail Releases Great British Fashion Stamps Britain's post offices are about to get a lot more chic. The Royal Mail released a collection of 10 stamps in honor of the country's biggest fashion influencers. Photographer Solve Sundsbo shot images of clothes from Alexander McQueen, Zandra Rhodes, Vivienne Westwood, and other designers and retailers for the series of first-class stamps. Classic British brands like Hobbs, Harrods, Liberty London, Cath Kidston and Debenhams are celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee by bringing out themed accessories. From crowns and corgis to street party scenes, you can wear your Jubilee fever on your arm or round your neck with these fun bags and scarves. In addition to Jubilee nail products and fragrances fit for royalty, there are plenty of Union Jack pieces on the market too, but I've got a hankering for these very British of prints.
